The geology minor requires a broad selection of courses in geosciences, chosen through advisement. It is designed for a diverse clientele, many of whom desire to strengthen their employability. Candidates for this program may include science majors contemplating a future in geophysics or geochemistry, students in environmental fields with a geological aspect, and students who may wish to be involved in land use planning.

Learning Outcomes

Students will:
1. demonstrate knowledge of fundamental concepts and principles of Geology
2. be able to work as part of a team and to communicate results
3. demonstrate critical thinking skills in Geology
4. be able to collect, analyze and interpret field and laboratory data
