October 21, 2021: The ban on state funded travel to North Carolina has expired. Travel to North Carolina is allowable.
NYS employees traveling to Mississippi cannot use any college funding to support their travel.

July 20, 2021: This guidance pertains to all state, Research Foundation, and Buffalo State College Foundation funds.
International travel continues to be prohibited. Limited domestic travel may be permitted if it is consistent with local health guidance, supports essential business of the college, and relates to:

health and safety
-
instruction and research
-
student-facing experiences (e.g., Athletics)
-
revenue generation (e.g., Admissions).
All travel requests must be accompanied by a COVID-19 Travel Attestation Form and require approval from the traveler’s supervisor.
January 7, 2022: The new standard mileage rate, for personal automobile travel, is 58.5 cents per mile.

Limiting College-Funded Travel
All college-funded travel, both international and domestic, is generally prohibited until further notice. Limited exceptions for travel to non-affected areas (see CDC guidance) may be considered with the approval of the appropriate cabinet member.
March 6, 2020: State Employee Work-Related International Travel
Please be advised that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to countries with Level 3 Travel Health Notices, and cautions against traveling to countries with Level 2 Travel Health Notices (listed below).
In accordance with this recommendation from the CDC, the State of New York and SUNY have prohibited all New York State work-related employee travel to Level 2 and Level 3 countries until further notice. Countries that currently carry such designations are
